Is Pimlico A Good Place To Live?

If you intend to make some changes to your life in 2022, it might be that you are looking to move home. If you are looking to move home, there will be steps you want to consider, and you shouldn’t just focus on the price you pay and the standard of the property.

It is vital you find a place that is comfortable, and which makes you feel at home. At Prestige & Village, we operate in many areas across the country, and we know there are many excellent locations to consider. However, we believe Pimlico is a good place to live, and if you want to learn more about the area, please get in touch.

What does Pimlico have to offer?

We know many people love Pimlico because it is an area of immense style, and with a stunning sense of history. When you have more than 350 Grade II listed buildings, you will love walking around and connecting with older times.

However, it should be said that there is a lot to like and enjoy about modern day Pimlico. There is an abundance of independent shops and certainly many vintage shops in the local area. Anyone who is keen to enjoy a day out like no other will adore what Pimlico has to offer.

While Pimlico is slightly quiet, which is ideal for many people, you aren’t too far away from some of the busier and more vibrant parts of the capital. This means that with a short walk, you can see so much more of what the capital has to offer, which makes Pimlico a perfect setting if you are the sort of person who likes to enjoy the best of both worlds.

How is the Pimlico housing market faring as we enter 2022?

According to Rightmove, as we enter 2022, the Pimlico housing market is faring as follows;

Properties in Pimlico had an overall average price of £926,826 over the last year.

The majority of sales in Pimlico during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £854,567. Terraced properties sold for an average of £2,026,198.

Overall, sold prices in Pimlico over the last year were 10% down on the previous year and 36% down on the 2016 peak of £1,457,372.”

While you can see that property prices fell sharply in Pimlico, this was in line with how many parts of London responded last year. House prices generally rose across the country, but in the capital, many areas experienced something different.

However, there is positivity that demand, and house prices, will rebound strongly this year in the London housing market.

If you are considering selling your Pimlico home in 2022, we would be happy to represent you. We have an excellent track record in connecting buyers and vendors, and we look forward to helping you.
